About

Willy Black
Originally conceptualized as a logo and name of a T-shirt brand (circa 2010), Willy Black, over the years, jumping from sketchbook to sketchbook and undergoing slight aesthetic tweaks, went from being a pair of eyes and a twisted smile to being what he is today, an author\'s alter ego and the main character and the namesake of this comic strip. Taking inspiration from day-by-day, Guillermo Saldana captures humorous, sarcastic, meaningless, or enjoyable moments of life, exposing Willy Black to what is alien to none, the problem of existing.

Guillermo Saldana

Guillermo Saldana is a cartoonist, illustrator, and Willy Black comic strip author. Born in Mexico in 1982. Graduated with a Bachelor of Design in 2004. He has always felt a passion for art and comics. It is rumored that he made comics since he was a child, and it is believed that some of these still survive in a drawer in a house somewhere in Mexico. Some fun facts that no one cares about include that he likes camping, but we suspect he's just a desktop camper since he spends his time watching camping videos on YouTube, and the closest he's ever been to nature is in the park Mont-royal. He also likes survival video games but is always the first to die. He currently lives in Montreal, Quebec, and spends half his time creating the Willy Black comic strip and the other half… it's a mystery.
