THE BIG THANK YOU SEARCH
The past few months have been a scary time all around the world as we face COVID-19 in our communities. We owe so much to the people whose jobs have been deemed essential during this time—from hospital workers and EMTs to grocery clerks, delivery workers, restaurant employees, teachers, medical researchers, and more. To that end, Rick Kirkman, one of the creators of “Baby Blues,” asked cartoonists around the world to join in thanking all the people who have made life more livable and helped keep us safe during this time.
Below you will find all of the participating cartoonists and their respective entries. Some have even asked us to mention their charities of choice that mean a lot to them, so if you are able to make a donation to even one of them, it would be greatly appreciated. Aditionally, most cartoonists hid specific symbols and items in their comic strip that you can search for, to pay tribute to these important workers. Here is a list of the symbols (how many can you find?):
1. Mask (for medical workers and caregivers)
2. Steering wheel (for people who move our deliveries, supplies, mail etc.)
3. Shopping cart (for grocery workers)
4. Apple (for teachers)
5. Fork (for farmers, restaurants and essential businesses that have stayed open)
6. Microscope (for medical researchers)
