About

Rae The Doe
Rae the Doe is a comic about the life and times of a doe named Rae and her punk skunk girlfriend Mimi. There's also her roommate, Pascal the Bat, her eccentric, trash-loving friends Cybil the Moth and Lottie the Opossum, and Sawyer the Squirrel, the voice of reason within the group. The comic is full of silly jokes, satire, and the occasional groan-worthy pun. The comic also touches on themes of LGBT acceptance and coping with anxiety and depression. Rae the Doe ran as an independent webcomic for two and half years before it was picked up by King for syndication. In that time Olive published a book, animated two Christmas specials, and drew 400 comics.

Characters

Rae the Doe

Although Rae is infamously nervous, she’s also optimistic, hopeful, and very passionate about her interests. She’s also very much in love with her girlfriend Mimi, but has trouble saying it because she starts to cry from happiness every time she tries to say those three words. That’s the type of person she is.

Mimi the Skunk

Mimi is Rae’s punk skunk girlfriend. She’s a rebel at heart and the most laid-back member of Rae’s friend group. She rarely shows emotion on her face, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t love Rae very deeply, just as much as Rae loves her. Although Mimi plays it cool, she isn’t afraid to dork out about her favorite anime from time to time, too.
