Timeline – 2011 Part 2

The Sunday page above is the conclusion of a vacation sequence we did in April 2011. The Flagstons had traveled to an unnamed tropical island, probably in the Caribbean, and enjoyed a variety of warm weather activities. By the last day, Lois and Trixie needed a nap.

Hi and Lois is primarily a gag-a-day strip, but on numerous occasions we have done continuing stories that last a week or more. Vacations provide the perfect opportunity for extended sequences.

The first vacation story was an epic month-long cross country trip the family took in 1966.

We did a reprise of this journey in 1999.

They have also gone to Disney World (1992), on camping trips (1999, 2008, 2020), beach vacations (2005), an adventure at a western ranch (2007) and an escape to the Bailey family cottage in Maine (2010).
