Timeline – 2009 Part 3

In a previous post we documented how, in 1958, Mort Walker came up with the idea to share Trixie’s thoughts with his readers.

This concept brought a new dimension to Hi and Lois and marked a significant period in the development of the strip. 

Soon Trixie was revealing more than her interpretations of the world around her. She began taking off on flights of fantasy. This surreal Sunday page was from 1960.

Trixie is still the star of Hi and Lois and continues to entertain fans with her fertile imagination. In the Sunday page at the beginning of this post, she explores what it would be like to soar in the sky like a bird.

Sometimes she gets a little carried away.
