Timeline – 2009 Part 3

Zero is one of my favorite characters in the Beetle Bailey cast. His innocence is endearing and his eagerness is admirable.

Zero often misinterprets what others say to him, as in the Sunday page above. It’s fun to imagine what goes on in his mind. After hearing this familiar phrase he literally checks to see if “the coast is clear.”

The strip below is a classic example. Zero borrows a line from his buddy Killer but doesn’t get the same results.

Occasionally Zero gets it right. In the Sunday page below, his idea saves the day.

It doesn’t work out for Zero like this very often.
