Point of Origin

Today is the eleventh anniversary of my first appearance and byline in Bizarro.

I’d met Dan Piraro a little more than a year earlier, on Pi Day 2008.

After a gentlemanly duel, we became fast friends, and I started submitting gag ideas.

As ever, I’m grateful to Dan for our ongoing collaboration, and to the mighty army of Jazz Pickles who read Bizarro every day, even after the new guy came on board.

Since I started doing the daily panels in 2018, I have also come to depend on and appreciate the King Features crew for their backup; particularly in the editing department.

For now, I’m getting back to the drawing board. These cartoons don’t draw themselves!
