Timeline – 2006 Part 1

Although this Sunday page was published 13 years ago, it is still as relevant today as it was then.

We still have cheating sports stars, corrupt business people and dishonest elected officials.  There are also actors, musicians, public servants, religious figures and media personalities charged with sex crimes. We have a Liar-in-Chief in the White House.  Has it gotten worse?

Now more than ever, we have to look within our families and around our communities for leadership. Fathers, mothers, grandparents, siblings, relatives, teachers, coaches and friends can provide positive role models.  It’s up to all of us. There are heroes among us.

I am still optimistic about our future.
