In the vintage seasonal Sunday page above, Chip, Dot and Ditto are complaining about raking leaves which gets them into a discussion about how Hi and Lois are slacking off on their responsibilities.  Hi explains that the government is encouraging parents to be tougher on their kids and the episode ends with a political statement from Chip.

This is another outstanding example of Dik Browne’s skills with layout and composition.  Each panel is a masterpiece of design and the varying perspectives throughout help the flow of the story.
