Hi and Lois Sunday page, September 2, 2007.
It seems like school starts earlier every summer. Many districts have students return to classes during the last two weeks of August, while others don’t begin until early September.
We did this Sunday page nine years ago when shopping for supplies on Labor Day weekend didn’t seem so far fetched. I’m sure many parents with school-age kids did this a long time ago. If so, we hope this scenario reflects your experiences. The price tag for supplies probably hasn’t changed much but college tuitions have gone way up. Which makes this gag even more relevant today.
We hope all of our readers had an enjoyable summer and are looking forward to a productive fall. Have a great Labor Day!
