Anthrocon and patron social
I’ll be in Pittsburgh PA July 1-3 for the Anthrocon convention. Look for me at table A23 in the dealers room where I’ll have all my books including “Hoofbeats,” the collection of strips from 2014 which makes its debut at the con. But that’s not all; ‘ll also have four “Doc Rat” titles, courtesy of Jenner.
Meanwhile, the annual “Kevin & Kell” patron social will be held on Friday, July 1. It will be at 7:00 at the August Henry’s restaurant in Pittsburgh PA, across the street from the David E. Lawrence Convention Center where Anthrocon is being held.
Please let me know if you’re able to attend, and thanks!
Roger’s Blog
Every Sunday, get additional details on the doings of the “Safe Havens” cast via Roger the high tech mascot. He reports on his friends’ doing at his blog “Screenshots.”
Kevin & Kell needs your support
The aforementioned patron social is one of the goodies available via the 2016 patron program which supports all three of my strips. Every year I do a special parody print for those who contribute at the Light Herbivore Salad level and above, and for 2016 I’m featuring the entire cast in a parody of the “Animal House” movie poster.
Virtu/Noir
Just as a reminder, “Dethany in Virtu/Noir,” is an interactive novella featuring Dethany of “On the Fastrack” as she adopts a 1940s private eye persona to solve a crime in cyberspace. She finds herself in the middle of a gang war between two groups; one promoting online transparency and the other heightened data security. A crisis erupts when people begin to have their identities drained (literally).
Along with John Lotshaw and my wife Teri Holbrook, we’ve created a unique blend of words and images, available for the iPad. Readers will be able to make choices determining the direction of the plot, and we estimate that it offers roughly two hours of crime-solving fun. It’s yours for $2.99. Learn more about it by visiting its website here.
