We have some book news for you!
Bill Griifith’s (“Zippy the Pinhead”) new book, “Invisible Ink,” has been nominated for an Eisner Award in TWO categories: Best Reality-Based Work (“Invisible Ink”) and Best Writer/Artist! His brilliant book is available for purchase from Amazon!
The “King of the Comics: One Hundred Years of King Features Syndicate” book (published by IDW) was also nominated for two Eisner Awards – Best Comics Related Book and Production Design!
John Rose (“Barney Google and Snuffy Smith”) will have a two-day book signing event in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Rose will be signing his brand-new collection, “Balls of Fire! More Snuffy Smith Comics,” at the Daily News-Record office located at 231 South Liberty Street in Harrisonburg. Rose signed books yesterday, and today Friday, April 29, he will sign his bodacious new book from 8 AM – 5 PM as part of the newspaper’s two-day Mother’s Day Madness Sale!
Norm Feuti (“Retail”) has a new graphic novel for kids which will be released in July! You can order the charming “The King of Kazoo” from Amazon!
Rina Piccolo (“Tina’s Groove”) gives us a peek at her new book, “Quirkly Quarks”, a cartoon guide to the fascinating realm of physics! You can buy this book on Amazon!
In other news…
Brian Walker (“Hi & Lois”) looks at fun “Beetle Bailey” collectibles from the 1960s! He also reveals how Mark Twain’s house found its way into a “Hi & Lois” strip! And yesterday was “Take Your Child to Work Day”! Hi took Dot into work with him..and as a feminist, she demands equal pay!
David Reddick (“Intelligent Life”) shows us that while Gwen’s away, the cat will play!
