Otto – Part Two

In the previous post we documented how Otto made his debut in Beetle Bailey in 1956. Above and below are three more examples from the late 1950s that show the strong bond between Sarge and his canine companion.

This strip is the first time Otto was shown in a uniform but it wouldn’t be for another eleven years until he starting wearing one on a regular basis.
