THE MOTH STORY
In October I went up to Burlington, VT for The Moth Grand Slam Story Competition. Here’s my 5-minute tale. The theme of the night was “Fish Out of Water.”
THE JAY KENNEDY CARTOONING SCHOLARSHIP
Submissions are due December 15th so please help spread the word! More info at the National Cartoonists Society Foundation.
THE KING 100th ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY COMICS INSERT
Turns out, it wasn’t in everyone’s Sunday paper, but grab your cup of coffee and enjoy the whole insert at Comics Kingdom. It’s pretty darn cool.
STOCKING STUFFER CENTRAL
The Gift Shop is up on the Rhymes With Orange website, and we got ALL the links working! The most popular items are Catacomics and Hanukkomics, and then there’s the books and the birthday calendar.
THE GALLERY SHOW
Check out original Rhymes With Orange strips at R. Michelson Galleries in Northampton, MA. It’s part their illustration show. Four are up, but they have more in their files to share.
Here’s a fave of mine by Mordecai Gerstein, also in the show.
AND FINALLY, TWO COOL SCULPTURES TO SHARE
This one by Stephen Palmer, which I saw at The Paradise City Art Show in Northampton, MA.
And then this cardboard chicken by my artist pal Whitney Robbins.
Thanks for tuning in, and have a safe and happy holiday!
