Happy Fourth!

Here is a Sunday page from 2001 that shows the fireworks celebration in the Flagston’s hometown with Chip’s band playing.

As we have mentioned here before, since Chance Browne and I both live in Wilton, Connecticut, we occasionally use it as the setting for some of the scenes in Hi and Lois. To draw the overhead view in the drop panel, Chance climbed to the roof of a building across the street from the Wilton athletic fields where the annual Fourth of July festivities are held.

Here is an aerial photograph of the area in Wilton where the schools are located. You can see the football stadium in the upper center of the picture. People spread their blankets in the fields around this to watch the fireworks.
