by The King

Greetings Comics Royals!

Hear ye! hear ye! If you have free time on your hands over the weekend, the doors are now open to the newly expanded Puzzles Palace on Comics Kingdom. We welcome you to step on in and enjoy free access to more than 50 of the best games from King Features, Conceptis and Arkadium, including such massively popular favorites as Crosswords, Sudoku and newly added Mahjongg!

We hope that you enjoy the great new selection of free-to-play games while the rest of Comics Kingdom remains ad-free.

In other news …

Congratulations to Sami Armington on reaching and surpassing her Kickstarter campaign for “The Folks Behind the Funnies!” She showed amazing tenacity and passion in getting this project funded! Learn more about how she is planning to use the money raised to support comics.

Alex Hallatt (“Arctic Circle”) gives an update on her recent move to Spain to learn Spanish.

John Rose (“Barney Google and Snuffy Smith”) and his family are mourning the loss of their family dog, Biscuit.

A new character, Cynthia’s niece Jenny, is introduced in “Sally Forth.”

David Reddick (“Intelligent Life”) shares his Japanese anime and manga-inspired “Star Trek” artwork.

Brian Walker (“Hi & Lois”) has written a great blog post on “staycations,” otherwise is defined as “a vacation that is spent at one’s home enjoying all that home and one’s home environs have to offer.”

Finally, it is a long weekend in the United States where we will be celebrating our country’s Independence Day on the Fourth of July.

Whether you are staying home, heading to the beach or hanging out at a backyard barbecue, we wish everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July with their family and friends!
