News Around the Kingdom: Advice To A Young Cartoonist

by The King

Greetings Our Regal Royals!

Today is Friday the 13th … a good day to revisit and re-read this week’s Top Ten Comics on Superstitions and Lucky Charms!

On a more somber note, Comics Kingdom is deeply saddened to learn of the recent death of longtime MANDRAKE THE MAGICIAN cartoonist Fred Fredericks. Upon his retirement from the strip in 2013, Mr. Fredericks was the subject of a beautiful tribute post on ComicsKingdom.com by The Archivist. We encourage our loyal Royals to read more about Mr. Fredericks’ career and contributions here.

Next week, Comics Kingdom welcomes guest blogger Kurt J, Kolka, cartoonist and author of “Bullying Is No Laughing Matter.”  Also, “Take It From The Tinkersons” will feature a weeklong series on how Tillman handles a bully who is bothering him at school.
