Editor’s Dispatch: Women in Comics Month!

By Tea Fougner

It’s Women’s History Month — and, more importantly for us, WOMEN IN COMICS MONTH.  We have so many awesome female cartoonists here at King Features, and it’s so great to be able to read their work every day.  These women do an amazing job of creating incredible comics 365 days a year, and I’d like to give them a shout-out!

Check out all of the cartoons on Comics Kingdom that are authored or co-authored by women!

The Pajama Diaries by Terri Libenson

Six Chix, by Isabella Bannerman, Benita Epstein, Anne Gibbons, Rina Piccolo, Stephanie Piro and Margaret Shulock

Between Friends by Sandra Bell-Lundy

Rhymes With Orange by Hilary Price

 Tina’s Groove by Rina Piccolo

The Lockhorns by Bunny Hoest and John Reiner

Apartment 3-G by Margaret Shulock and Frank Bolle

 Arctic Circle by Alex Hallatt

Mary Worth by Karen Moy and Joe Giella

And of course, there are a ton of awesome ladies (besides your humble editor) working here at King Features. And I’d like to extend a thanks to each one of you for the hard work you do every day to make the comics happen!

Happy Women in Comics Month!!!
