This Sunday marks the 60th Anniversary of “Hi & Lois.” Created in 1954 by Mort Walker and Dik Browne, two of the most successful cartoonists in comic art history, Hi and Lois remains a family affair today, continued by Mort’s sons, writers Brian Walker and Greg Walker and Dik’s son, artist Robert “Chance” Browne (who is now assisted by artist Eric Reaves). The sons have followed in the footsteps of their famous fathers, who are widely considered to be among the founders of modern cartooning.
To honor the strip’s momentous milestone, the creative team behind “Hi & Lois” developed a special weeklong comic strip series that spotlights six decades of family fun.
