News Around the Kingdom: Popeye Movie Animation Test

by The King

Greetings Comics Fans!

Comics Kingdom is excited to share a teaser video from Sony Pictures Animation, which gives a first glimpse of what Popeye, Olive Oyl, Bluto and even Eugene the Jeep might look like in the upcoming Popeye Movie

Cartoonists, comic strips and comics fans will be traveling to Kenosha, Wisconsin next weekend for the 3rd Annual Kenosha Festival of Cartooning, a three day festival of cartooning featuring a comic strip art exhibit, lectures, presentations, Q&A and meet-and-greets with cartoonists and an auction. This year’s festival features presentations by two of King Features’ cartoonists: Jeff Keane of “The Family Circus” and Terri Libenson of “The Pajama Diaries.”

Jeff Parker (“Dustin”) has posted about this this year’s Kenosha Festival of Cartooning and encourages comic fans to view and bid on the many online auction items up for bid through September 25th in support of the National Cartoonists Society’s Foundation.
