Editor’s Dispatch: Boop-A-Doop Movie!

One of my earliest memories of watching cartoons was watching Betty Boop at my Aunt Betsy’s house as a very tiny child.  Betty’s style and spirit still remain unmatched, as far as I’m concerned, so you can imagine I’m completely thrilled to hear the news that broke last Thursday: Betty’s going to be the star of her first feature-length film!
 
Betty and Simon Cowell broke the news on Twitter Thursday, with this great snapshot– Animal Logic and Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment will be partnering with Fleischer Studios, home of Betty’s creator, Max Fleischer, to bring Betty back to the silver screen.

I, for one, couldn’t be more excited!
