Bizarro is brought to you today by WHAT?
This first cartoon is perhaps a bit of a “groaner” to some, but I still think it’s a clever gag so I went with it. I’m glad I did because I really love the woman’s face. Something about it makes me happy.
The Old West’s version of the four-way stop is a recent favorite of mine. I love doing cartoons about the Old West and this is something I’d not seen before. I’m also driven crazy by other drivers who can’t figure out how four-way stops work. Or, it’s their turn and they wave everyone else by because they’re too timid to enter an intersection with others watching.
Do doctors still have tables with a sheet of paper over them that they change out between patients? If not, they used to and that’s what gave me the idea for this panel.
And today’s cartoon is a simple modernization of the ancient pet trick of getting a dog to bark once before handing him a treat. Duh. I think it is worth noting that if dogs do learn to text, there will be a lot less barking in the middle of the night.
BIZARCHAEOLOGY: From 1998 comes this deceptive cartoon that looks like one thing but isn’t. While visiting friends in Guatemala some years ago, I was introduced to a family that lived across the road from them that makes fireworks for a living and had for several generations. Nearly every member of the family over 12-years-old had a missing part, mostly fingers. Not kidding.
