Monday’s cartoon is the brain fruit of my known associate, Wayno of Pittsburgh. I’ve seen these e-cigarettes around but I don’t really know how they work. For a while, you could smoke them indoors since, I presume, they pose no second-hand smoke risk or smell, but now they are beginning to ban them indoors like real cigarettes, I suppose because people have been brainwashed in the U.S. for so many decades to believe that smoking, or even pretending to, is the most dangerous thing any person can do short of cleaning a gun with the barrel in your mouth.

Wayno offers some stern and hilarious words for we smokers on his own post about this cartoon collaboration here.

Tuesday’s cartoon is a collaboration with my good friend and colleague, Dan McConnell. I thought his spin on “the elephant in the room” was pretty great so I drew it up this way. Here’s some of Dan’s other work, which you will doubtless find amusing.

Wednesday’s cartoon is about medical insurance, a topic I’ve hit pretty regularly in recent years. I don’t have the energy to get on my soap box about it now, so I’ll just let the gag speak for itself.

Bz panel 11-22-04 PrescriptionWEBPALEOZARRO: Drugs in the U.S. are obscenely expensive and we sometimes find that the same drug in Canada is much cheaper. It’s illegal to buy these cheaper drugs and bring them back with you. Yes, that is terrible. And here is a gag about that.
