Bizarro is brought to you today by Letting the Kids Help.
Last night, a West Hollywood resident was unable to properly show off his new shirt because a jacket was required as temperatures at 10pm were in the low fifties. This morning, a Fullerton woman was an hour late for work because temperatures were in the upper forties and she, “couldn’t find that coat I haven’t worn in a few years.” We will continue to update you on the severe inconvenience of this winter “storm” as reports come in. Officials are reminding residents to close their windows, especially at night. “With weather like this, it does not pay to take chances,” said Los Angeles mayor, Eric Garcetti.
In other news, the delectably clever cartoon at left is a collaboration with my known associate, Wayno of Pittsburgh. We cartoonists always enjoy coming up with a new twist on one of the canonical themes of gag cartooning, in this case, the “waiter, there’s a fly in my soup” classic. We’ll call this one a prequel. Here are Wayno’s thoughts on it.
Cartoon number two has a porcine pal going for yet another round of cosmetic surgery. We all know someone like her, don’t we?
And image numero trois, a cartoon from a couple weeks back that I forgot to post, is a loving look at two of America’s favorite partners for a roll in the hay: A Jack Russell Terrier and Jane Russell, movie star and voluptuous gal pal of Howard Hughes. If you’re not familiar with these names, look them up on the Interwebs and come off a smidge smarter at your next Hollywood trivia contest.
PREZARROS: Since we’re talking about pets, how about this peculiar notion from 1998? I was hoping a line of cards like these would catch on nationwide but it seems most people just don’t see things the way I do. I thought you Jazz Pickles might enjoy it, though.
