I like to keep an open mind and learn as much about life as possible, not for some end gain, but because it amuses my mind and I’ve found that keeping my mind occupied is one of the main tenets of a happy existence. I’ve long been interested in religion and the human compulsion for belief in a higher power and a grand scheme to life. Accordingly, on my continuing mission to learn new things about this topic, I’m going to go see “The Book of Mormon,” a musical by South Park creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. I don’t know nearly as much about Mormonism as I’d like and I’m hoping this experience clears some things up for me.
PAZZ JICKLES: My known associate, Wayno of Pittsburgh, is a hopeless coffee addict and although I hate to see him throwing his life away on substance abuse, I do enjoy the benefits of the great coffee gags he comes up with. Here is one of our collaborations from 2010 that I particularly like because I’ve experienced this myself. Though I don’t drink coffee regularly, I have occasionally patronized a Starbucks, even though I think most of their drinks taste burnt. I’ve never gotten the hang of their strange lingo for the sizes they offer (enormous, colossal, will attack your city) so I always just order, “A child’s size regular coffee.” When they ask me dozens of questions in response, I repeat the same sentence and pretend to be semi-comatose. I’m usually only drinking it to stay awake on a road trip, anyway.
