The Vacation Ends

Foul-ups, mishaps and unplanned surprises are experiences that most people remember fondly about their travels.  It is human nature to cherish these moments and helps to explain the popularity of shows like America’s Funniest Home Videos.

As I mentioned in the previous post, my family spends at least a week every summer at my wife’s family cottage in Maine.  Below is a photo taken on the back porch of a sunset over Maquoit Bay, looking toward Freeport.

It is always difficult to say goodbye to our favorite place and return to civilization after these idyllic retreats.  We hope all of our readers have had an enjoyable summer and make the most of their final few weeks.
