Right to Arms

The Piraro family is an ancient institution in Malta. The name literally translates as “next to the drainpipe,” which is a reference to the family’s original residence in the town of Mgarr. The town floods frequently and having your home next to the one drainpipe in town is very prestigious. It was particularly helpful because the family villa was made of pressed cardboard.
Our family coat of arms is simple; a shield with a round drain cover in the center. Boooooorinnnnnggg! I’ve been lobbying the Malta Historical and Genealogical Ministry to add a jazzy pickle and a URL (mine) to our coat of arms but they have refused. They have also refused subsequent suggestions of a piece of pie, an eyeball, and a bunny. I swear I don’t know why these people are so protective of “history.” Below are the original coat of arms and the ones I have proposed. Which is your favorite?
