Comic for 7/9/11

It was brought to my attention that the mention of “chloroform” in today’s strip (7/9) is bad timing due to the recent verdict in the much publicized Casey Anthony trial. Apparently there was evidence during the trial that it may have been used in the murder.

In case there is any doubt, I’d like to point out that “bad timing” is exactly what this amounts to. Today’s strip was in NO WAY meant as a reference to the Casey Anthony trial. The daily “Retail” strips are written 6 to 7 weeks prior to their publication date. No correlation between today’s strip and the recent verdict was even possible, let alone intended.

I sincerely regret if, for some, this unfortunate coincidence has taken the humor out of today’s installment. I hope there are no hard feelings among my readers.
