I like rice and was eating some one day and pondering its various qualities when POOF!– this idea popped into my head. Now that you know how it is done, you can be a cartoonist, too. And, if you like behind-the-scenes trivia, if you squint your eyes, you can just make out a cameo appearance by myself and my beloved CHNW in the foreground. We be liking us some Asian food. Spicy Thai is our favorite!

Our next offering today seems to be about a dwarf signing books. And, in fact, it is. This idea was generously donated by a good friend of mine who used to be a pediatrician and is a wordsmith extraordinaire. Cliff is a dandy fella with terrific cartoon ideas and a regular contributor to Bizarro. Notice how I cleverly avoided having to draw a whole line of people waiting to get their books signed. That’s what we in the business call “laziness”. I’ve done lots of cartoons about book signings over the years and have always included a line of people. It only just now occurred to me that I could get away without that. That’s what we in the business call “slow”.
