Cover Designs: Step Two

After rejecting the first rough sketches (blog entry 2-16-11), the next step was to pick some elements from the first attempts that we liked, add some new ones and see what happened. Again, and again, and again…

 

 

 

 

 

We were pretty satisfied with this last version, so we sent it to our editor. The reaction went something like, “We love it! Just change the size of the Jeremy art, put it in full color,  move the vertical bar of tiled faces to the left side of the cover and change that gawdawful background color. Oh, and we hate the typeface.”
