High-line Park NYC

One of the most fun things we did in Manhattan was go to the High-Line Park on the Lower West Side. Local residents banded together to stop an elevated rail track (last used in 1980) from being demolished. Instead they have transformed it into an elevated city oasis, with plantings, water features and beautiful design.
