Cartoonists Go to Cuba!

by Hilary Price

Six of us, spearheaded by Jeannie Schulz–Charles Schulz’s dynamic widow– stormed the shores of Havana last week. Not only did we meet great cartoonists, we took in the sites and people of Havana– a modern society living in a city stuck in time. One of the pack, the brilliant Mad magazine caricaturist Tom Richmond, just posted an overview of the trip on his blog with great pictures and commentary.

I’ll be posting additional highlights, but Tom has done the meat and potatoes of the journey. Or, perhaps more appropriately for Cuba, the beans and rice. Thanks Tom!
