About Quincy
Making its debut in 1970, Quincy features an integrated cast of racially diverse neighborhood kids who hang out together. The series focused on the inner-city childhood of a poor boy living with his grandmother. Quincy manages to stay bright and optimistic with a lighthearted take on the world.
The strip is evocatively written and drawn by pioneer black cartoonist, Ted Shearer.
