Little Iodine started as a recurring character in Jimmy Hatlorsquos humor panel, Theyrsquoll Do It Every Time. She eventually grew so popular that a separate comic strip was made for her.
Iodine Tremblechin is a prankish, conniving little girl who is forever at odds with her parents and all authority figures in general. Her endless high jinks and bad behavior thwart the efforts of all around her who want to live a peaceful life, often causing a family disaster that results in her father, Henry, being fired by his pompous boss, Mr. Bigdome.
Jimmy Hatlo skillfully depicted his characters in a very funny vein. After his death in 1964, Bob Dunn took over until 1967, when Hy Eisman came on board to draw the strip.
