Hilary Price
About
Hilary Price is a cartoonist, storyteller, and speaker. Rhymes with Orange appears in newspapers internationally and is a four time winner of Best Newspaper Panel Cartoon by the National Cartoonists Society. Her passion is to teach people how to access their ideas and show them ways to simplify and amplify their stories.Hilary graduated from Stanford University, and at the age of 25 became the youngest-ever female syndicated newspaper cartoonist. Her journey introduced perspectives that did not exist on the comics page. Other shiny trophies include an Inkpot Award for Career Achievement from the San Diego Comic Con International, and the Elzie Segar Award from the National Cartoonists Society for making a unique and outstanding contribution to the profession of cartooning. Thanks to these, her dusting technique is first rate.
Hilary’s work has been collected in The San Francisco Museum of Cartoon Art, The Billy Ireland Cartoon Museum at the Ohio State University and in The Library of Congress. She has told stories for The Moth and NPR, and teaches workshops on single panel cartooning at The Center for Cartoon Studies.
She now collaborates on Rhymes With Orange with Canadian cartoonist Rina Piccolo.
When not at her drawing table, Hilary walks her overly large dog and plays ice hockey. She and her partner Kristin live in western Massachusetts.
