About
Dan Piraro stands 6239 ft., 7in above sea leavel in his home in central Mexico . Born in Missouri in the mid-nineteen hundreds, he was raised in Oklahoma by a pair of breeding Homo sapiens, then released into the wild at the age of 21. Since then, he has traveled extensively throughout the world for a variety of flimsy reasons, and boasts no major arrests or convictions.
Bizarro was first syndicated in 1985 and continues to be the highest-rated newspaper comic in the world (among his close friends and family.) He has published around 18 books of cartoons, art and prose, and has won numerous awards for various things, including cartooning and pumpkin carving.
He is also a painter (art, not houses), the author of a weekly newsletter of humor and philosophy called The Naked Cartoonist, has tortured as a stand-up comic, and has been on TV now and then. He spends most of his art time these days illustrating his graphic novel, Peyote Cowboy.
Dan’s future plans include work, fun, and death.
