In the Sunday page above, summer vacation is winding down and Ditto is trying to make the most of his final days of freedom. Chance Browne did a brilliant job showing him engaged in a variety of activities – hitting a baseball, riding a bike, fishing in a pond, catching a frisbee, playing tennis, shooting a basketball, swinging on a rope and watching a sunset. Readers can assume he will be packing his schedule for another week.
Many kids around the country have already returned to school. Traditionally, school usually starts after Labor Day, so others still have time to enjoy the end of summer.
Back to school shopping can ruin this idyllic time. In the Sunday page below, illustrated by Eric Reaves, Ditto is complaining profusely about his fate, doomed to return to the classroom for another ten months.
We hope all of our readers are enjoying their final days of summer.
