School is ending for most kids now. Many of them have had to cope with online learning for over a year and are probably looking forward to a more normal summer vacation than the last one.
The end of the school year is a time we often highlight in the strip. The Sunday page above from 2014 is a good example. It’s too early for Chip to have any plans for summer employment. He’s got better things to do.
The final days of the school year, when the weather is getting warmer, are hard to endure when cooped up in a class room. Chip reflects on this dilemma in the strip below from 2008.
Teachers also experience relief when school is finally over. In this strip, from 2017, two educators comment on the old school yard chant as the kids are set free.
We hope all of our readers, both young and old, are looking forward to a great summer!
