This beloved family strip began in 1954, the product of two great cartoonists, Mort Walker and Dik Browne. The strip shows a typical postwar suburban family, the Flagstons. Hi is the breadwinning commuter Dad, Lois is the busy homemaker Mom. Their family includes Chip, the teenaged son, Ditto and Dot, brother and sister twin tots, and Trixie, the baby. Through the years, and all the fads and changes in American life, the strip has reflected real-life situations based on the family life of it's creators.
