Ask A Cartoonist: New Year's Resolutions!

Happy New Year!

2017 is drawing to a close, and we're getting excited about all the cool comics we're going to see in 2018!

This week, I asked our cartoonists to tell us about their New Year's Resolutions.  A lot of folks are already on holiday this week but we still have a few answers. We will be off for the holidays, and back in the new year! Have a happy holiday!

Alex Hallatt, Arctic Circle:

I’m sure I’ll make a few more, but my resolution is to learn Te Reo (Maori) now that I’m back in New Zealand.

I haven’t drawn any cartoons about Maori, but I’ve done a few on the state of the English language.

Bill Griffith, Zippy the Pinhead:

Zippy celebrates the coming of 2018 by revisiting the innocent, pre-Trumpian year of 2005, when the lure of a Mai-Tai Snorkelfest was just too tempting to resist. And he didn't even Tweet about it.

Ron Ferdinand, Dennis the Menace:

It seems that Dennis has always had a problem with New Year’s. Poor kid!
